II. Consultation Process: The doctor spent 40 minutes analyzing my skin
Upon arrival at the clinic, you’ll first need to fill out a basic information form, with assistance in translating it into Chinese throughout the process. Next, the director will conduct a face consultation—it was the most thorough cosmetic consultation I’ve ever had, taking a full 40 minutes.
The doctor used a skin analysis device to examine my skin type data, including:

- Uneven skin tone and pigmentation

My main concerns were dull skin tone and enlarged Pores. The doctor recommended the full-face Potenza treatment and suggested pairing it with an LDM post-treatment soothing package. III. Treatment process: Pain is well-manageable, with the entire procedure taking about 60 minutes
The treatment process is as follows:
- Cleaning and numbing treatment (20 minutes): The therapist first cleanses the skin with foam, then applies a numbing ointment that stays on for 20 minutes. Grays uses imported numbing ointment, which feels cool when applied and does not cause any stinging sensation.
- Doctor’s treatment (30 minutes): The clinic director personally operates the Potenza device to deliver treatments to various areas of the face. Slightly higher energy levels are used on the Forehead and cheeks, while lower levels are applied around the eyes and at the corners of the mouth. The pain associated with Potenza is much less than expected—it’s far more comfortable than hyaluronic acid injections. What you feel is mainly a “stinging plus warm” sensation, which remains within an acceptable range.
- Post-procedure soothing (10 minutes): Apply a medical repair mask along with LDM hydration treatment right after the injection, and the burning sensation is quickly relieved.
The entire process takes about 60 minutes, offered as a one-on-one service with no waiting time. After the treatment, the doctor gave detailed instructions on post-procedure care: avoid contact with water for 24 hours, use only medical repair sprays and face masks in the first three days, stay protected from the sun, and avoid spicy foods and seafood.
IV. Recovery Period Notes: Surprising results start to show from day 4
Day 1 (the day of treatment): The face appears red with a mild burning sensation that lasts about 4–6 hours. The healing mask applied by the clinic helps significantly reduce discomfort. Tiny pinprick marks can be seen on the face, but they’re not very noticeable.
Days 2–3 (the “ugly phase”): This is the toughest stage to go through. The face becomes slightly swollen, the skin feels rough, and the tiny punctures created by the Potenza heal into thin scabs, giving the skin a dull appearance. You’ll need to wear a mask when going out, though it doesn’t stand out too much when wearing one while shopping in Haeundae. Strictly follow the doctor’s instructions by only using the repair spray and applying medical masks.
Days 4–5 (the turning point): The scabs gradually fall off, and it feels like your skin has been “reborn”! The most noticeable change is that your skin tone becomes brighter by one level, with a radiant, inner glow that no skincare product can match. All signs of dryness disappear, leaving the skin feeling incredibly soft and smooth to the touch.
After Day 7: The once-prominent Pores on both sides of the nose have significantly reduced in size, giving the overall skin texture a more “plump” appearance. The skin seems to have its own built-in “skin-smoothing filter.”
Day 14: The results have stabilized. My skin tone is even and radiant, with a noticeable improvement in the fineness of my Pores.
