What is Juvederm?
Juvederm is a premium gel-based Filler brand developed by the renowned American pharmaceutical company Allergan. Since its introduction, it has consistently held a leading position in the global Filler market and is currently one of the most representative fillers in the medical aesthetics industry.
Juvederm utilizes its exclusive Vycross™ patented cross-linking technology to efficiently combine long-chain and short-chain Filler molecules, resulting in a gel texture that is firm yet smooth. After injection, the substance remains in place without shifting, has a natural feel, and is completely metabolized by the human body, ensuring long-term safety. It has received multiple international certifications, including those from the US FDA, the European Union’s CE mark, and Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Detailed descriptions of various dosage forms
Voluma: Enhancing Volume and Beauty
It is the model with the strongest supporting effect, making it ideal for deep injections that require substantial structural support. It can be used for chin reshaping, Apple Zone augmentation, filling in sunken cheeks, and overall contour definition. It is the first choice for most people when considering Juvederm treatments.
Volift: The Radiant Beauty of Velvet
It has excellent elasticity and a soft, natural texture, making it ideal for filling medium-depth facial wrinkles and depressions. Clinically, it is commonly used to improve Nasolabial Fold Correction, Marionette Line Correction, Forehead wrinkles, and temples. After injection, the results look natural and do not cause stiffness in facial expressions.
Volbella Mengbeila
It has the softest and most delicate texture, and is specifically designed for use on superficial areas and detailed regions. It is ideal for lip filling (to enhance lip shape and volume), Tear trough correction, and the precise treatment of fine lines around the eyes.
Volite – The Beauty of Moisture
Specifically designed for Lifting the overall appearance of the face, its texture lies between supportive and delicate. It can be used to effectively address fine lines across the face, neck wrinkles, and the back of the hands, resulting in improved smoothness and elasticity of the skin after injection.
Volux Plastic Surgery
This product has the firmest texture and is specifically designed for sculpting defined contours. Precise injections in the chin and jawline area can help create clear, IPCHEA-defined contours, making it the ideal choice for those who wish to improve issues such as a “retruded chin” or a “vague jawline”.

Pre- and post-operative precautions
Not suitable for the following groups: pregnant women, lactating women, individuals under 18 years of age, and those who are allergic to Filler.
Preoperative Precautions:
- One week before the procedure, avoid taking health supplements such as ginkgo, fish oil, or aspirin, as they may increase the risk of bruising.
- Before the procedure, make sure to communicate thoroughly with your doctor, sharing your previous injection history and your desired results.
Postoperative care:
- Avoid touching the injection site, engaging in strenuous exercise, or exposing yourself to high-temperature environments within 24 hours.
- Avoid applying pressure or massaging the injection area for one week.
- Proper sun protection and basic moisturization are essential for maintaining the results.
- If persistent redness, pain, or any unusual symptoms occur after the injection, you should seek medical attention immediately.
How to choose the right formulation?
The five different formulations of Juvederm each have their own specific uses. When making a choice, it is advisable to consult a specialist physician with experience in injections who can conduct a comprehensive assessment based on an individual’s facial features, desired results, and budget, rather than selecting the formulation on one’s own. Within the same treatment course, a physician may also combine two or more formulations to target different areas of the face accordingly.
If you are interested in Juvederm, it is recommended that you use a professional medical aesthetics appointment platform to search for reputable clinics and doctors. It is advisable to consult with them before making a decision, so as to find the most suitable option for yourself.
